Welcome to Live Oak Cedar Lodge—a rare oasis of green in the heart of Baton Rouge.

 

Since 1900, the city has grown around us, while the farm evolved at a more graceful pace within it. Whether I’m in the shade of an ancient oak, walking among my mother’s heritage camellias, in the pastures of grazing cattle, or listening to the laughter of children as they trot on their ponies, I find an enduring sense of peace in this special place.

 

It has been my privilege to care for LOCL, and it brings me great joy to share the farm with those who gather here to celebrate, create, and make memories of their own. I hope your visit here brings you a sense of beauty, connection, and possibility—and that you feel as inspired by this place as I have throughout my life.
